Chocolaze (hazelnuts cocoa spread)

This Nutella-like spread is a good breakfast for Kids.
The sugar comes from fruit ( dry date is a natural sugar).
Be sure to buy the Cacao without sugar.
Try the carob powder instead of Cacao.
Remember that chocolate and regular sugar can make children very active.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup soaked dates *
1 tea spoon vanilla
3/4 cup soy milk
1 tablespoon flax seed powder (opt.)
1/3 cup Cacao powder

METHOD

1. Grind the nuts in a food processor.

2. Add the other ingredients. Process until smooth.

* SOAKED DATES

2 cups dates cut in half (this is to be sure there’s no pit)
1 cup boiling water

METHOD

1. Put the dates in a jar.
2. Add the boiling water. Let soak for half to one hour.
3. Blend with a hand mixer or a food processor until pureed.
